On the occasion of the 450th birthday of Elias Holl, students of the Master's degree programme in Architecture at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences (THA) dealt with many topics related to the master of the municipal utility. They analysed and researched literature, buildings by Elias Holl, international references and many other topics. The goal set by the supervisors, Professor Bernhard Irmler and communication designer Stefan Schumacher, was to understand this old master builder and to bring his ideas into the public space of today.
An exciting and not always easy project for young students, according to the lecturers.
To complement the anniversary exhibition "Elias Holl (1573-1646) Meister Werk Stadt" in the Maximilianmuseum (Maximilian Museum), the Master's students are exhibiting their results and fresh perspectives on the Renaissance master builder Elias Holl in the Viermetzhof.
