The subject of the exhibition is an Abensberg family history from the 18th to the 20th century. It is interwoven in many ways with the history of the town and supra-regional historical references.
So why do many male descendants of the Heyder family bear the first name Napoleon into the 20th century? Where is the so-called Heyder House? And what is the fate of Haymo Heinrich Heyder, who was born Vili Goručan in Slovenia in 1942?
These and other questions are addressed in the special exhibition of the Abensberg City Museum in the Herzogskasten. The reason for the exhibition is a donation to the museum in 2021. Above all, objects from it as well as photographs from the holdings of the Stadtmuseum will be on display and embedded in the respective historical contexts.
