On the occasion of the interdisciplinary Flower Power Festival, which celebrates the cultural history of flowers, the Sammlung Goetz (Goetz collection) presents the 2-channel slide installation Flower Projection, Autumn (1998) by Peter Fischli David Weiss as an intervention in Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg. There, the views of flower gardens and vegetable beds by the Swiss artist duo enter into dialogue with the floral designs of artisans.

For the flower projection, the two artists photographed their garden in late summer and combined two motifs each into a total of 162 double-exposed slides, which they present via two projectors in a cross-fading technique. This creates an abundance and simultaneity that will never exist in nature. The viewers are immersed in a sea of colourful blossoms, lush green leaves and overripe fruits, and the cinematographic effect creates a maelstrom that is almost impossible to escape.
