Were they the scene of knights' tournaments and places of festive banquets? Or do we have to imagine everyday life at the castles in a completely different way?

Castle experts provide exemplary reports on various topics and from different regions. The new travelling exhibition of the district of Lower Franconia takes a look at the whole of Lower Franconia and provides information. The exhibition is aimed at children, families and young-at-heart adults who enjoy exploring our Lower Franconian castles with all their senses and immersing themselves in the world of towers, gates and defence walls. Eleven themed islands
The eleven themed islands focus on a variety of topics, including the cuisine and provisioning of the castle's inhabitants, housing, minnesong, legends, stories and coats of arms.
