Töpfermuseum Thurnau (Pottery Museum Thurnau)
The art project "Woman", conceived in 2018 by Antonio Spanedda, is dedicated to the identity of women, especially women with an immigration history, who tell about themselves and take a stand on the female world in general. The resulting portraits, photographs and videos focus on themes, lifeworlds and personalities of women from different countries and cultures.
It is thanks to Wolfgang Krebs, director of the Schlosstheater Thurnau, that the art project can now also take place in Kulmbach and Thurnau after first stops in Munich and Novara. In several workshops, women are invited to tell their stories. The photographer Rosy Sinicropie and Antonio Spanedda make the stories, images, feelings, dreams and hopes accessible with the help of art as a universal means of expression.
