"Glassjam" is an open collective of eight young, international artists who are united by the material glass. Since 2020, the group has developed into a lively network that focusses on exchange, mutual inspiration and further development.
Diverse artistic practices and cultural backgrounds from Japan, the Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden and Germany characterise the range of their approaches. Over the past five years, five exhibitions have been created that stimulate dialogue between fine art and experimental design. To mark its fifth anniversary, Glassjam is working together on an installation for the first time. The new project combines glass, sound and the interplay of interpretation and reaction to create a collective work about resonance and collaboration. This project was commissioned by the BBK Bayern as part of the Verbindungslinien programme, funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts.
Glassjam are: Markus Marschmann, Zuzana Kubelkova, Masami Hirohata, Norbert Michno, Jesse Gunther, Lotte Schlör, Anna Riedl, Olga Golos.
