As an extension of the show "Seeing the Unseen. Quantum Physics and Art as Entangled Worlds" at the ERES Foundation, "It is plain that all is hidden" invites you on a journey to the limits of the visible.

At the centre are the fundamental paradoxes of massless and timeless particles of light that elude our imagination and thus confront both quantum physics and visual art with fundamental questions of representation.

The starting point for Paul Valentin and Tatjana Vall's work is an impressive glass plate hologram, which they had produced on behalf of the Eres-Stiftung (Eres Foundation) using the classic Denisjuk process from the 1960s. The expansive installation also includes small puzzles, a laser-like beam of light and a video documentary about the creation of the holographic image. The hologram makes the multi-layered phenomenon of light tangible in a poetic way: as a wave, particle, illusion and image all at the same time.

ERES Projects offers young art a platform in Munich. In the exhibition space, Valentin and Vall use the medium of holography as a bridge between scientific research and aesthetic reflection. In doing so, they pose fundamental questions about reality, perception and representation.
