Pictures & objects by Maria Daffner and Bonny Schmid-Burleson
04.07.2025 - 20.07.2025 ,
Dorfmuseum im Pfannerhaus (Village museum in the Pfannerhaus)
The two artists are showing an exciting mix of Maria Daffner's paintings and Bonny Schmid-Burleson's objects in the Pfannerhaus.
Maria Daffner has a more experimental approach. Starting from an idea or a dream, the works often develop in a completely different direction. The picture takes on its own dynamic, which inspires and challenges her. She works with acrylic, ink, various pencils and chalks and also applies colour to paper using stamps, stencils and old paint rollers. The image changes layer by layer, the colour penetrates the printed matter and the pencil continues to draw.
Bonny Schmid-Burleson has long been involved in painting, pottery, etching and, above all, textile art.
About seven years ago, she came up with the idea of exhibiting her many personal artefacts in small wooden boxes, thus creating a relationship between them. The boxes initially had a rather playful character with small dolls, toys, dried flowers or grasses. Over time, they became larger and more complex with bones and feathers. She really enjoys the craftsmanship involved: Painting, gluing, fixing, sanding and much more.
Vernissage on Friday 4 July at 19:30
Exhibition: 5 July - 20 July every Saturday and Sunday 3 - 6 pm.
Admission to the exhibition is free. The museum is open.
