"Rethinking food": New technologies are creating new possibilities for food production. Yoghurt made from soya, lemonade with algae or meat from cell cultures: new cultivation and production methods enable food with less environmental impact and lower raw material consumption. But not everything is automatically accepted.

"Food is more than just nourishment - it is a reflection of society and its values. With this exhibition, we not only want to show technological possibilities, but also shed light on the ethical and cultural dimensions." (Maike Schlegel, Curator, Deutsches Museum Nürnberg (German Museum Nuremberg))

The interactive special exhibition is thought-provoking - about nutrition, the environment and the role of technology in our everyday lives. It goes beyond simply imparting knowledge and invites visitors to reflect on their own preferences and limitations. What will we eat in the future - and why?

Museum visitors explore how our eating habits are changing. They are invited to scrutinise their own gut feelings and visions of the future.
The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive programme.
