The Hersbruck-born painter and bohemian Frieder Sand would have been 100 years old this December. The town of Hersbruck is showing selected works from his impressive artistic oeuvre in the Hirtenmuseum.
His estate in the historic Fraischturm tower in Hersbruck, where he lived and painted until 2004, comprises more than 650 works in various techniques from several decades.
These include views of the town of Hersbruck, landscapes of the Franconian Alb and still lifes from his everyday life. There are also more than 30 self-portraits in various techniques.
