"Ja, so warn's die oiden Rittersleit" (Yes, that's how the old knights were) comes from a song by Karl Valentin, which set a lyrical monument to the almost thousand-year-old castle, which was used as a hunting lodge, prison and powder magazine, among other things. But what were the knights like? - This and everything else about castles in Bavaria can be found in the permanent exhibition. In addition to the museum's own history, other castles from the Isar Valley and from all over Bavaria are presented here. Hands-on stations provide an insight into the fascinating world of the Middle Ages.
