Hidden, concealed, forgotten? Get to know extraordinary works by known and unknown protagonists: Objects, paintings, sketches, sculptures, texts, photographs and concepts that were previously hidden away in a drawer and are now seeing the light of day for the first time. For example, Reinhold Messner's sketchbook, a work by Erwin Wurm and a surprise by Lothar-Günther Buchheim will be on display.
Why are these works in a drawer? Why were they not published? Why did people want to hide them, conceal them, perhaps even throw them away? When is an artistic work complete?
Answers to these questions are provided by the conversations with 14 personalities, which can be listened to, seen and experienced in multimedia form in the exhibition space. And there is also a special treasure hidden in this room: the aforementioned 14 drawer works.
