Canadian artist Anne Mason-Hoerter invites us to reflect on how memories develop and influence our emotional connection to nature. The award-winning photographer's exhibition is located in the Green Room, at the end of the impressive show greenhouses. Hoerter's special technique consists of dissecting plants and superimposing their photographed components. Her work touches on important questions: Will our visual memories become even more important in a rapidly changing world? Can we rely on the accuracy of these memories that shape our understanding of nature?
Using up to 100 individual photographs, Anne Mason-Hoerter creates a mosaic that reflects the distortion of memory as well as the breathtaking beauty and fragility of nature.
