When regular radio broadcasts began in what was then Czechoslovakia, it was under adventurous conditions: A concert was broadcast from a tent on the outskirts of Prague in the evening hours of 18 May 1923 in wind and rain. In all of Europe, only the BBC in London was on the air a few months earlier.
The cabinet presentation "100 Years of Radio in the Czech Republic" in the foyer in front of the East Reading Room shows how modest beginnings could become a hundred-year success story.
