The exhibition brings together works by nine artists who have researched Munich after 1945 in archives and collections. Their look at photos, protocols, magazines and reports from contemporary witnesses opens up a variety of perspectives on the reconstruction of buildings and society.

The significance of the post-war period for our present day is brought to life in installations, films and collages with themes such as the lives of women, new meeting places, the appearance of authorities and pedagogical concepts of re-education.

On show are works by: Hêlîn Alas, Ina Ettlinger, Dani Gal, Thomas Galler, Mariella Maier, Cora Piantoni, Beo Tomek & Caroline Kapp, Christoph Westermeier
