Travelling exhibition ‘An Overview of the History of Germans in Russia’
The BKDR travelling exhibition “Outlines of Russian-German History” by Dr Viktor Krieger offers a concise overview, presented on 12 roll-ups, of the history of Germans in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union up to the present day. It explores origins, migration and key experiences of discrimination, persecution and the consequences of war, as well as their lasting effects to the present day. At the same time, it addresses questions of identity and memory and invites visitors to engage with the subject in greater depth.
The project is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Affairs.
The travelling exhibition is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 2 pm to 5 pm.
