The decentralised special exhibition “ZeitRäume” invites you to discover new stories at six different locations across the museum grounds – stories that have not yet been explored in the historic buildings. At the Samer Farm in Schönau, for example, the focus is on an artist who spent many years spending her summers at the small farm, occasionally gave painting lessons there, and eventually settled permanently at Königssee. At the Zollingerhalle, on the other hand, you’ll get to know Marinus Bichler better – a sawmill owner who, thanks to his voluntary work in his home town, became so popular that the local residents even elected him mayor, even though his name wasn’t on the ballot paper.
Each “ZeitRaum” also highlights a specific decade from the 1970s onwards, i.e. from the museum’s founding. You’ll learn how Glentleiten has developed over time, but you’ll also encounter everyday phenomena such as the “Game of the Year”, hit TV series or the music charts.
